One of my family lines is Fillo. They arrived in the USA in the 185x and 186x era. But at that time they often gave their country of orgin as Austro-Hungarian Empire because it encompassed a large area. Greygar (or George) B. Fillo
and his wife Eva Garlzich went through "Castle Garden", and immigration station located in an old fort on the lower tip of Manhattan. They traveled to St. Louis, Missouri and settled their along with George's brother John and sister Dora.
