In March of 2000 I had a research service in Scotland look for information on my grandmother, Mary Finan,(born 1871). He didn't have much info to go on, but when I received the report,it included the family you wrote about. I don't know if it is "my" family or not. He was thinking it could be May or Maria Clare. I am not convinced.
He had death info only on Maria Pattie Finan and Mary Eliza.
I do not have any more info on Maria Clare than you already have. He suggested I check the parent's marriage certificate, pre-1864 parish resgisters for their birth or baptism records, and the British Army records.
Send me an email if you think I can be of any help.
