Jonathan is descended from Peter Finger ("the Pioneer").
His father is Henry Finger born about 1781 in NC. His father is Jacob Finger born about 1756. His father Peter Finger, born about 1724, came to America in 1749

Go to www.fingerfamily.com where you will find much more detail on your ancestry. There is an essay by your distant cousin Wade Finger telling all about Peter Finger.

I have contributed a photo of Peter Finger's home in southern York County, PA.

You can also see Peter Finger's DNA, samples having been contributed by two of your distant cousins.

Happy searching!
