I have a Mary Finlay who married William
Bigger in 1746 in the Carnmoney Presbyt.church in Carnmoney, Antrim,NI
a short drive from Belfast.
There are many Finlays and Finleys listed
at the new Rootsweb meesage board. You might
want to look there. Start by looking at
www.familysearch.org and put the name and
surname in the sesrch box. also go to www.rootsweb.com and search there at the
wrold connect site. The Finlays and Finleys
are either English or Scottish. I would suggest that you start in Donegal as that
is where they were last from. also go to
the e-mail lists at rootsweb.com for Ireland
and sign up for a few. the Scotch-Irish one
mainly is interested in Ireland. There are
more than 800 on that list. You will have
some luck if you keep on plugging. Ireland
is not that hard to reserach from the USA
