I am searching for the origins of James Finlay of Belfast. Several coincidental items appeared in your posting.

James Finlay was born about 1861 in Belfast, and died 11 Dec 1909 of head wounds received in a riot at the Harland and Wolff Shipyards, where he worked.

He married Grace McQuillan about 1882 and had seven children.

Five of his children emigrated to Pittsburgh between about 1906 and 1920: Martha (Finlay) Adair c1882-c1952; Jenny (Finlay) Butler 1888-1967; James C. Finley c1890-c1937; Bridget Louise (Finlay) Hutchinson 1892-1984; Grace Josephine (Finley) Gavin c1897-1976; and Margaret (Finlay) McKenna c1901-c1936.

Any of this ring a bell?
