My mother (sadly gone) was an Elizabeth Finlay, born in Co. Carlow in 1910, she was one of 13, 11 girls and 2 boys. Her father, William was born in Dunboyne Co. Meath in 1878. His father Michael is said to have come from Paulstown in Kilkenny but I have so far had no luck tracing him. There are still relatives living in Dunboyne. Mums brother lived in Kildare and owned a garage there. This is still run by his sons. One of her sisters still lives in Carlow and another in Dalkey, nr. Dunlaoghaire. Her two remaining sisters live in North Harrow here in England. Could we be connected?
