I thought I might post my information in this string as I too have Finlays from near Belfast. Arthur and Elizabeth and their son John Finlay (my great-grandfather) with a location of Ballybrecken in Ballynure near Belfast. I believe John to have been born in Belfast, but I am still waiting for my research to come in. Also, I have a letter to John regarding the estate of William Finlay, with a sister named Agnes (Finlay) Elliott. I do not know how this William might be connected.
