It would be great if you could look through your records, as I would love to confirm the connection of my Catherine Finlay and Old Mr Finlay of Ballinabarney to the Finlay family that I listed in my previous post.

Catherine Finlay married William Eager abt 1803 - 1806 and lived in Ballinafoyle, their children were:
Joseph Eager (Twin)b. 13th Sept 1809 m. Catherine Freeman - farmed at Ballinafoyle, family is buried in Hacketstown
Thomas Eager (Twin)b. 13th Sept 1809 m1. Ellen? m2. Alice Boyle, who had a farm in Ballinaguile
Peter Eager b. 9th Jan 1811 - possibly died young
Germaine Eager b. 2nd Sept 1813 m. Ellen Lawrence, Moyne. Farmed at Ballinafoyle, buried at Moyne Churchyard, my 4xg grandfather
Catherine Eager b. 17th Feb 1816 m Henry Lawrence Ballinacone
Mary Jane Eager m. Henry Hinch
Anne Eager m Henry Lawrence, Slieveroe, Moyne

It would be great to make a connection as I am very interested in tracing the passing down of the name German. As far as I know it has been given to at least one of Germaine Eager's 3xgreat grandsons!

All the best
