John & samuel Finlay - early 1800s - Derry

I'm tracking my wife's ancestors. I've located the following marriage record from the Parish register for Rothesay, Scotland 26 March 1832 (? used where legibility is in question)

John Finlay labourer Rothesay, son of Samuel Finlay, parish of Aug??????, County of Derry, Ireland and Martha Crawford of this parish.

The 1841/1851/1861 census in Rothesay all give an approximate birth date of 1801 and the 1861 census shows place of birth as Ireland.

Anyone have any clues?
