Finlay Brothers of Baltimore

I am researching the Finlay Brothers of Baltimoe, John and Hugh. They were painters of furniture in the "Fancy Style" early 19th Century. Their work is prized as among the best in American History. One of their suites was purchased for the White House by Dolly Madison, unfortunately it burn in the fire of 1814. A chair was sold recently by Christys by phone for $46,000.00. The brothers, of Irish perhaps scotch-irish descent, were born in Baltimore. Their shop on Gay street was large for the day, employing sixty in the early 19th Century. I would appreciate any help in connecting them to their family line. Thanks Elizabeth Findley Fabritius
