WILLIAM and ALFRED, ELIZABETH wife of JAMES DOUGLASS (in Fannin Co, GA in 1860), and MARTHA, DAVID A.,MARY, and SARAH COBB heirs of Joseph and Sarah Cobb, JOHN.(SAMUEL has a son JAMES C. FIRESTONE who lived in Alabama at time of the filing),

No. 81.MATHIAS FIRESTONE Sr. died in spring of 1850 and his widow POLLY died shortly after in spring or summer of 1850. Mathias and Mary Ann went to live with SAMUEL FIRESTONE.The children of Mathias Sr. by his first wife were:

9. MATHIAS FIRESTONE, (Jr.) who died in fall of 1864 at age eighteen without wife or child
SAMUEL FIRESTONE, son of Mathias Sr., recently died leaving children:
i. J. C. FIRESTONE of Ala.;
ii. Persha or Portia FIRESTONE wife of Thomas MARTIN;
iii. Mary FIRESTONE wife of Jesse GIVENS of Ga.;
iv. Telitha FIRESTONE wife of John BRANDON of Ga.;
v. Sarah FIRESTONE wife of Jesse PURDY of Texas;
vi. Permelia FIRESTONE wife of James PEAL of Ga.; and
vii. S. POLK FIRESTONE residence unknown.
Complainants charge that the execs. had no right to sell land in 1853 by order of County Court.Chancellor decrees in favor of complainants and the Tenn. Supreme Court upholds the decree.The land was rented out by the U. S. Government for three years during the War.
About 1865 Samuel Firestone deeded it to his daughter Permelia who afterwards married Peal.Mary Ann and A. M. Benton give power of atty. to John Benton and Carter W. Cobb 22 Sep. 1859.Elias P.BLOOM died during the suit
leaving widow Susan and children Eliza wife of William WATTS, Elizabeth, G.M., Harriet, P. D. K., and Susan who married a Bloom."
