Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I have a Carl Fischer in my family. He was my first cousin, twice removed. His father was Hartford and grandfather was Charles P.C. Fischer. Charles (my great, great grandfather) and his brother George came to Georgia in about the 1840's. He was born in 1819 and died in 1891. His headstone says born in:
Endorf Kreis Alsfeld
Grosherzogtham Hessen, Germany
I don't have any other information about Carl.
