Heinrich Fischer was born in Ostfriesland (Germany) or Holland. He married Talletta (or Faatjo, or Tatje, or? Harbers, who was from the same areas. I have a record mentioning Emden, and have researched there as much as I could at this time. Heinrich died in Peoria in the late 1850's. They had 3 children - Anna (my great-grandmother), Jacob, and Maria (who married Dr. Monroe, but died young). They also had a child who died in St. Louis in a fire, and I think I may have found him this evening.
I have been trying to trace descendants of the Fischers, as I plan to visit Peoria soon. Thought someone descended from Jacob could give some information. Imagine my surprise when I just happened to find your posting!!!!!!!!!
