Trying to find birth records of Ludwig Fischer
Posted by: Daniel Fisher (ID *****8757) Date: March 13, 2012 at 06:51:41

Hello,

I am trying to find the birth records and census records for of my great, great grandfather, Ludwig Fischer.
He was a butcher from Michelstadt, Germany as far as I can tell on the census records from 1860 when he came to the U.S. in and around 1852. I would like to trace back the Ludwig Fischer family as far as I can, starting with the years when he was in Michelstadt. He was married to Margaret and had daughters, Gratchie, Grace or Gretchen, and left Michelstadt in 1852 by way of Bremen, Germany on board the ship "Alexina". They arrived in NY, on June 29th, 1852.

Thank You,
Dan
