David,

Thomas Fishwick of Longsleddale was also my 3xgreat-grandfather so we're fairly closely related. Sorry this is a very short reply as I am inundated with work at present and will have to delay responding in greater detail. I just took a quick glance at the forum tonight for the first time in weeks. This is also to say that I do have some data on the mining, going back through previous generations. Can get the line back confidently to around 1700.

More later,

- David Murray -
