Many thanks for this link.
I have tried desperately to find out what happened to Mary Jane Fishwick after her husband, my grandfather's brother, Felix Sayer Holme was killed on the Somme in 1917.
I don't expect she ever managed to visit his grave, but I did last year at Villers Faucon Cemetery.
I expect she must have remained living at Murthwaite for some time, but I have no idea.
I always wondered if they had children before he went to war.
If you have any information about her at this time, I would be absolutely delighted to hear from you once again.
