I think I should re-name this message Fishwick , Whitehaven to Shipley via Newcastle !. Anyway , Jean Fishwick tells me that she has seen a picture of her uncle , William Fishwick , stood outside Waverton Hall she seems to think it was sometime during the war although she cannot be sure .I have been unable to track this place down .
Jean Fishwick has shown me some old photos of her grandparents which would have been taken at the end of the 19th century or the begining of the 20th century, one picture she tells me shows her Grandfather Fishwick ,and Grandmother Allison. In this picture they appear to be stood in front of a farmhouse or barn type building in the Whithaven area. I will post more info as and when i get it.
