Wow, hi cousin - I think- very distant I know but nevertheless I do believe that we are related!!
Thomas Fishwick, father of your William was my gggrandfathers brother. I am sure that they are the same people.
I have just sent for the marriage certificate of Thomas Fishwick & Elizabeth [Betty] & should receive it during the next day or so.
I was at Keighley last weekend doing some research on the Fishwicks & got details from the 1841 & 1851 census's.
During the 1850's most of them moved to Durham to mine the coal there.
I believe you have been in touch with Dave Murray who is another great Fishwick hunter.
Another one is Dave Chase who lives in Florida & is my second cousin once removed.
I met him for the first time last year.
I also have details of Thomas & William from the 1881 census.
This is so exciting, if you would like the information which I have I would be pleased to pass it on.
My maternal grandmother was my Fishwick.
Kind regards
Judith Kettlewell
