Shani,

The Sunderland Fishwicks of the 1800s came mostly from two directions. There was a cluster of related families who had been in the Grimsby area since the 1600s, and possibly longer. There were also some (including some from branches of my own family) who came across the Pennines from Westmorland and Lancashire as the area began to get more industrialised.

I checked my database and at present don't appear to have a John George F., but there are one or two other people who read this forum and who are searching for Fishwicks in that area. One of them may be able to help you.
