Thanks Howard! You've given me alot to consider here. Which Fisk(e) do you start with as I have many interesting letters here back from the late 1700's and early 1800's. We start with Jeanette (Jannette) who married Thomas Barrows. We are very lost on the Barrows side, sure they came from CT. or MA. but Thomas seemed to appear in New London, CT. residing with Jeanette (not sure how he got there). Most mail is addressed to or from Lyme and Southington. A red flag went up however when you mentioned Mehitable. I believe there was a Mehitable Barrows - let me go back and check that out - I think she was from Mass. Long shot connection but you never know. I will get back with you if anything looks like it fits. I had never even heard the name before however I have seen it a few times ( have no clue how you even pronounce it) Thanks so much for all your help and I'll keep in touch. Let me know the name of your Fiske and I'll see if they are in any of these letters. Thanks again - gretchen
