I am begining to think my William Avery FISK just dropped out of the sky and landed in Rutland Co, VT.

I have ruled out the Reuben, Benjamin and Benoni connection as these lines are pretty well researched.

The next possibile choice would be :

SYLVANUS FISK, born February 17, 1775 married an AVERY

Azariah FISK, born about 1774 in Rhode Island who shows up in Clarendon, Rutland Co., VT by 7 Dec 1797.

Also very strange is :

Sex: F
Birth: 11 APR 1805 in Clarendon, Rutland Co, VT
Death: 2 JUN 1878 in Benton Co OR
Burial: Old Eddyville Cemetery, Lincoln Co, OR
Event: Came to Oregon BEF. 1870 Little Elk

Marriage 1 Ezekiel Isaac EDDY b: 28 FEB 1800 in Clarendon, Rutland Co, VT
Married: 19 DEC 1822 in Danby, Rutland Co, VT

The reason I find it strange is that my William Avery FISK
was born : November 11, 1805....he lived in Chautauqua County, New York for awhile where he married and had a few children ....about 3 children died there before he and Cynthia BUTTON FISK his wife went on the Oregon Trail arriving in Oregon Sep 29, 1853....the above person seems to be related or at the very least very interesting.

Maybe some of this will make sense to someone.....of course this part of the fun of genealogy !!! LOL
