My records show her parents were Eliza Jane Fisk and Laurence VanBuskirk.
I do not know the ancestry for Laurence but Eliza's parents are reportedly Haley Fisk, and Judith Qureaux.
Haley Fisk is listed by F.C. Pierce as being a "Judge" but in the census his occupations have been "Machinist" and "Justice of the Peace".
I am not sure if it is an exaggeration or if a J.P. is automatically considered a Judge, I'm not trying to be petty, I just don't know. Nowadays Judges are Lawyers and J.P.'s are just the next step up from being a Notary Public, at least that's how I understand it.
Hope this helped,
Bob Birt
