Hi. I am looking for a Fisk (married surname)lady who died August 25, 1894 most likely near Montpelier, Vermont.

I have a little "journal" diary written by her granddaughter in 1894. I am trying to make connections as to who were the parents of the granddaughter and who her husband was.

There is no name for the writer for the diary, but her husband's name was John. She had at least the following children: Miltie (died very young in 1893), Johnnie, Edie, Addie, Merry.

Other names that may have been her children or her siblings include Flora, Sarah, Emma, Bess (married to Ira), George (maybe married to Flora). There are other names such as Rosa, but things get pretty confusing as to the status of these people.

Johnnie (the son) had brought "Grandma Fisk" to the writer's parents home (near her) and a few weeks later, "Grandma Fisk" ended up in the writer's home where she died.

Sorry I don't have better information. Hope that you connect with this family. I received this diary on E-Bay with 4 others, 2 of which were written by my g-grandfather Frank W Steele of New Hampshire (these were written in 1886 and 1888).

I'd like to know if this Fisk family are any kin to my Steele family as by marriage or otherwise. Frank W Steele had a brother John H Steele who was born in 1860 in New Hampshire and I am wondering if the writer's husband John might be him.

In any case if you are possibly kin to this Fisk family, I would be happy to send you copies of the pages of the diary.

Thanks Sue
