Gordon, My Fisk Family lived in Otsego Co., NY which is next to Delaware Co. I don't know who were the parents of my ancestor, Samuel Fisk (b. 1794) but he was born in Vermont. We thought for a time his parents were Abner Fisk and his wife Molly Grout, but have since decided they are not. Samuel was in the war of 1812 and served two hitches. one for himself and one as a substitute for an Oliver Gager of Delaware Co. Samuel moved his family to Steuben Co, NY and there was a family (or two) named Campbell in the same area. I think they were closely related to the Campbell family, but have not proved it yet. Samuel named one of his sons, Solomon Archa Campbell Fisk and the Campbell Family had two sons, one named Solomon and one named Archa. Archa is not common and this Archa Campbell can be followed by using just his name...but I still do not know the names of the parents of Samuel Fisk who was born in 1794 in Vermont. (we use the name without the final e) Do you think your Joseph might have come from Vermont? Blanche
