I have a booklet researched and written by one of my great great aunts as a present from her to my great grandfather, Francis Skinner Fiske, for Christmas 1872. The first name she references is Daniel Fisc, of Laxfield, UK in 1208. This sounds like the same person. Then she has a gap to a Simon Fiske, Studhaugh, in the Parish of Laxfield who made his will 1463 which was proved 1463-4. From this Simon, she traced to a John Fiske, born 1619, son of another Simon, emigrated to Watertown Massachusetts and took the oath of fidelity in 1653. From this time on, I have verified through other sources that her work is correct. Prior to 1653, I cannot verify her research. Family lore has that Simon died on the voyage from England.
