Searching family roots. Albemarle County

Wm Daniel bought land in Virginia in 1759. Near Hammock's Gap. Died in 1814. Had 12 Children, only two boys. John and William D. William was one of the leading men of Milton. Moved to Carlottesville and kept the Eagle Tavern. Died 1848. Tomb still there. John born Oct 9, 1749 - Died June 11, 1804. Married Elizabeth Carr. Children: William, Gideon, Nancy, Mary, Mildred, Susan. Lived near Thomas Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson educated Gideon, later appointed him Surveyor General of Mississippi. Name was spelled Fitch before than. Mr. Jefferson suggested the spelling of the name.William married Mary Leake, daughter of William Leake, Revolutionary War. They had two sons. James, b Feb 23,1806.D Sep 17,1888. John b Oct 20,1807 married Isabella Purrington, os Louisa, daughter of Rev. Elisha Purrington. They had nine children. Thomas Purrington Fitz was their son and my grandfather. I have more history of the family if you would like to contact me.
