Jeff Fitz was nice enough to email me with some valuable information. I'll post it here in case it's of use to anyone else. Especially read the part about Mary Law Miller copying tombstone inscriptions. My thanks to her wherever she is.

I too am related to John Law and Dorothy Lowery. However, I have not had too
much luck in this area, but here's what I know....

John Law b. 01 Jul 1820 d. 20 Feb 1891 b. Brethren in Christ Meeting House
Cemetery, Ringgold, Washington Co., MD

Mary Dorothy (Lowery) Law b. 10 Dec. 1825 d. 12 Dec 1909 also buried
Brethren in Christ Meeting House Cemetery, Ringgold, Washington Co., MD

`According to the IGI, there was a marriage of aJohn Law and Dorothy Lowrie
on 21 Dec 1847 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro, Franklin
Co., PA (just over the border from Ringgold) but I have not been able to
prove that it was the same John and Dorothy.

John and Dorothy had, as far as I know, the following children in addition to
your William:

Ann C. Law (my ancestor) b. 1850 d. 1920 bur. Ringgold m. Jerome C. Fitz b.15
Aug 1849 d. 24 Apr 1926 bur. Ringgold

David E. Law b. 21 Jun 1863 d. 2 Apr 1933 bur. Ringgold

Emma B. Law b. 19 Jan 1870 d. UNK

(Added by Mike Law: Actually there were 12 children. My Father may have a list. I'll post as I get them.)

Most of this information comes from an e-mail I received from Mary Law Miller
in which she was responding to a post by me on the LAWS-L mailing list.

She wrote:

"Jeff, by a crazy coincidence, I drove by the Brethren in Christ Meeting
House yesterday. I had previously seen the graves of John Law and Dorothy
Law. They were knocked over in a summer storm by a falling tree several
years ago. I went to check if anyone fixed them. Well, noone has and the
stones have been completely removed. I did copy the stones in the past.
They do not seem to be my direct Law family but I will print the gravestone
inscriptions in case they help someone else.
