Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Christian's "Descendants of Edward Fitz Randolph" has an appendix in the back called "unplaced families" which includes your Abel. It says "ABEL (Samuel, John, Jacob) FITZ RANDOLPH married at Metuchen, N.J., Dec. 20, 1851 MARGARET GURNSEY." The list of children agrees with yours, except that I think there are two more, Ella and Edward (Since I can't see your message as I write this, I'm not positive). As a matter of fact this same source gives more info on Samuel (Abel's father), his grandfather John and greatgrandfather Jacob. Apparently the compilers of the genealogy weren't able to make any further connection. If you have access to this book, the info is on p. 187 and 188. It was published in 1950, and even though it's an excellent and rather reliable book, hopefully more info has come to light. Good luck.
