Correct use of Fitz question

Is there a correct use of the Fitz. Since it is a prefix meaning descendant of, I see many way it is used. Fitz Randolph, Fitzrandolph, Fitz-Randolph and perhaps others. What do you use? Is there an incorrect way? It seems that I have three ways in my files and want to go to only one. Which one should I use?
