Sarah was born Oct. 25, 1771. Her parents were Thomas Fitz Randolph, b. 1734 in Piscataway, d. Aug. 26, 1773, and Huldah Lucas, b. 1734, d. Oct. 17, 1773, dau of Robert Lucas (of Woodbridge) and Hepsibah Woolege. Thomas Fitz Randolph's parents were Joseph Fitz Randolph, b.Feb. 11, 1690/1 in Piscataway, d. 1750 in Piscataway, and Rebecca Drake, b. Nov. 21, 1697 in Piscataway, dau of Rev. John Drake and Rebecca Trotter. This information is set forth in the "Fitz Randolph Genealogy" by Louise Aymar Christian and Howard Stelle Fitz Randolph, which was privately published in 1950.
