Well, I believe that this could be my line! The Davis family that my Mary Davis born 1782 descends from is indeed from DE but I believe that her father William was in NJ at the time of her birth! Everything points to this WVA Fitz Randolph family.....I do need some help in proving it though. I believe that my second greatgrandfather David Davis Randolph could have been either a twin to the deceased Davis son of John and Mary Davis Randolph in New Salem, VA/WVA; or more than likely was the adopted son of them; hence I believe my second greatgrandfather and son of John and Mary Davis Randolph; David Davis Randolph; to be the birth son of David the brother of Jonathan; and Mary Richardson. This David lost his wife and had several small children to raise; I believe he gave the younger ones over to his siblings to raise; this without proof....anyone know if any of this is true? I have been searching my John and Mary Davis Randolph lineage for eons and I certainly could use some help in proving this scenario.
