NONE!
Fitzsimmons is an English name. Fitzsimons can be either Irish or English.
The only Fitzsimmons' in Ireland are either descendants of protestants that went to Northern Ireland or the name has been misspelled.
The mane FITZSIMONS, pronounced Fitz -"simon" -s, is mainly from the area stretching between Co.Cavan, Co.Meath and Co.Dublin.
To this day, I have my surname misspelled and mispronounced even when you tell someone how to spell or pronounce it. So what hope was there for "the name" in days gone by when people could not spell.
Some experts believe that the some branches of the name pre-dates the Normans in England and was in fact from the Danish Vikings.
