Thank you for your reply.Having extracted numerous various types of documents of FITZWATER individuals in the USA beginning Aug 182, I have been unable to locate any of the ancestry of Ann McCaslin who (by tradition only - no marriage record) married William Fitzwater, nor of William Fitzwater ever being in Chester Co., PA.Another branch of FITZWATER were in Chester Co., but NOT of this time period.
What military record documents this.I would like to obtain an original copy of the document but need to know the location. What document to you have stating John McCaslin was Ann McCaslin's brother?
My extracted data to date puts the McCaslin family in Montgomery Co., PA - Philadelphia area.Have located some McCausland families in Lancaster Co., PA and extracted those wills.None have mention a daughter Ann, who could be the wife of William Fitzwater.
Also, have NOT located the ancestry of the McCaslin's in Augusta Co., VA during the years 1760 to 1800 (William Fitzwater died 1824 in Rockingham Co., VA - will proven)
A document around 1765/1770 in Augusta Co., VA of A Fitzjerrel states a John McCaslin was executor. The estate papers give no biological relationship between the two. No record has been located which identifies the parentage of any McCaslin in Augusta Co., VA. I have NO documentation stating any Fitzgerrel was "connected to" (biologically) to any Fitzwater or McCaslin. If you do, would you please post document?
You stated John McCausland, (Sr.) will was probated Sept. 1813 - he could be of the age to be a brother to Ann McCaslin. Is it possibly his brother Andrew who fought in the Revolutionary War and not his son. There also are early records in Augusta Co., VA of an Andrew McCaslin.
The Ann McCaslin I am looking for was was deceased by 1790. I am seeking recorded documents.
