I am helping a male adoptee born in 1962 in St. Petersburg, adopted in Gainesville, search for his birth family. Especially a sister named CHARLOTTE who was born in the Spring of 1957 .
The birthmother,a patient of DR. KEIG, was born in 1937. She moved to Fl. from a northeast state in the early 50's with her mother.She was 1 of 4 children. Her father died when she was very young. She liked to draw. She was working as a short order cook in a drive- in restaurant. She lived with her mother ,who was working for a linen supply co. The birthmother had 2 children prior to the 1962 adoptee. (1) Charlotte, born in the Spring of 1957 who was living with the mother and grandmother in 1962. Charlotte was described as an attractive little blonde girl.(2) BABY- born in 1960-adopted in a mid Atlantic coast state. We think this is a girl because of a statement from a social worker, but non id does not give gender.These siblings may not know they have a brother.The children had different fathers. The 1962 adoptee's father was born in 1934-was from a southern state-was an only child-was divorced-had a son in that union. He was working as a cab driver and at the DOG TRACK when it was in season.He had no part in the adoption.A Kathryn Weber,along with Dr. Keig, arranged this adoption.
We are searching for this mother, father, sisters, and this brother and any other siblings that may be out there. We hope SOMEONE steps forward with some information.Life is short and it would be nice for this adoptee,who has searched his whole life, to meet someone from his family before its to late. No one is getting any younger, and each year makes it harder to search, as those relatives who know something pass on. Won't someone PLEASE step forward with some information? Thank-You.
