Mr William Walter Avery.

Funeral services for Mr. William Walter Avery, 81, of 4617 Hyacinth Ave., Parker, who died at 3:15 am Monday, in a local hospital, will be held at 3:30 pm today in the First Baptist Church of Parker. The Rev. M A Cornelison will conduct. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Bob Eckart, Jim Spann, Royace Hasty, Bill G*cy, Bill Wright, and Frank Bright, Honorary pallbearers include the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 17. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral. A resident here for 13 years, Mr. Avery came here from Plant City. He was a policeman for the school system there. He was also a veteran of WW I and a member of the DAV Chapter No. 17. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera M Avery, all of Panama City and Ecker Avery, of New Orleans; daughter, Mrs. Estelle Arnold, of Lynn Haven; two step-daughters, Mrs. Madie Jones, of Lithia, Fla., and Mrs. Bertha Well, of Eau Gallie, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 16 step-grandchildren.
