I was researching the family of Jacob M. Heimberger for a professor at the Univ. of Miami (Florida), who is writing about these 1914 murders. The events really did happen.
A very interesting true story. Thanks for your assistance. -- Alice

Jacob M. Heimberger and Catherine Jung married about March 9,1905.
Anna Mary Heimberger (sister of Jacob)and Carl Geng married about 1909.

Katy (Catherine) Jung Heimberger Kobuskie married John Kobuskie -- sometime after 1914 but haven’t located date / place. Also not 100% sure “Kobuskie” is correct spelling.

Anna Mary Heimberger (sister of Jacob M. Heimberger) and Carl Geng (Anna's husband) ----

Carl Geng came from Germany to ND about 1907. He was born between 1882 - 1884 in Germany. He married Anna Mary Heimberger in 1909 in ND.

June 1910 census -- Carl and Anna Mary Geng lived in Morton Co., Twp. 139 in ND. Carl was a farmer. Carl was 26 years old and Anna Mary was 24 years old. No children listed.

Jan. 1920 census -- Carl and Anna Mary Geng lived in Hebron (Custer), Morton Co., ND. They lived on Buffalo Street. He was a laborer in a brickyard. His age was 37 years old and Anna Mary’s was 34 years.

April 1930 census -- Carl and Anna Mary Geng lived in Hebron, Morton, ND He was 48 years old and Anna Mary was age 45.
Carl worked as a salesman for farm tractors.
Carl stated he became a citizen in 1909 and Anna Mary a citizen in 1910.
NOTE --- I question the short time between coming to US from Germany and citizenship.)
