The “Ask a Librarian” service might be requested in search of an obit. "The Broward County Library", keeps microfilms of "The Herald", formerly called Miami Herald: http://www.broward.org/library

Death record could be obtained, usually giving names of parents, burial place, name & address of Informant: http://www.rootsweb.com/~flbrowar/howto.html One must request cause of death to be included, or it will be blank.
