Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church is in Columbia County, Florida several miles north of Lake City, Florida and is located in a very remote area. We visited the cemetery several years ago and the church has a reunion once a year, I believe in September.

I have cemetery books of Columbia County but John Whittle is not listed at Hopewell. This does not necessarily mean he is not buried there, it could be there is no head stone or it was illegible.
