Cookie, Thanks again. I found Phineas Johnson on the 1900 Nassau Co, Fl census. He and his wife, Mary Wiley Vaughn, must have died after 19 June 1900 and before 1910. He was my great grandfather. Do you know if there might be a death certificate for him? I am not certain death certificates were maintained back then. Charlie Johnson, my grandfather, and his brother began an insurance company in Lake City after the 1900 census, because on the 1910 census his occupation was insurance agent. My mother said he was known as "Policy Johnson" and rode a horse to collect premiums. Hopefully, I'll be able to stop by the courthouse in Lake City to see what they have. Also, want to go to the Nassau Co courthouse. I live in Va, so it's going to be a vacation thing. Keep in touch. Carole
