Ruth C. Daughtry
DAUGHTRY, Ruth C., 93, a resident of The Oaks of Avon since 1999, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at The Oaks. She was born April 17, 1912, to John Calvin and Lettie (Carlton) Clemens in Wauchula where she had been a lifelong resident until her move to The Oaks. She was an elementary school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church of Wauchula. Mrs. Daughtry is survived by her daughter, Patricia Crawford of Sebring; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley P. Daughtry in 1967 and her sons, James Jeffrey and John Michael. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Wauchula Cemetery. Rev. Ed Wilson officiated.
