mattie gillespie was born 4/7 april 1870
she married robert raymond smith 10 april 1897, i know there was at least 10 children of this marriage as my mother was one of thier children.
mattie gillespie was riaised in the prescott family, her mother married a prescott, i have a bible insert that say the prescott's listed were her half brothers and sisters.

thier is a note that says they lived in house going to hart's cemetery
i remember going to this house once when i was very young
there had been a death in the family, don't remeber what year, what i remember most is that one of the ladies was smoking a corn cob pipe.
my parents, grandapretns and several aunts and uncles are buried at harts cemetery.
i would like to find out more about this family, as far as i know they lived in hardee co for the most of thier marriage, robert raymond died in 1950, his body lay in state at thier house until burial, i was only fours old at the time so that memory will always be with me.
