Can anyone please help me? I have reached a major dead end with my grandmother's lineage. This is what I know so far:
My grandmother was Bertha Allen (1912 - 1986) who married Marion Lowe (1895 - 1975).
Bertha's father was Jessie Ovilla (or Ocilla) Allen (1885 - 1963) who married Caroline Crawford (1892 - 1966).
Both Jessie & Caroline are buried in Hardee County at Friendship Cemetery.
The obit for Jessie lists his siblings as: Nora Crawford, Frances Crawford, W.E. Allen, Raymond Allen, and P.H. Allen.
Besides my grandmother, Jessie and Caroline also had: Myrtice Allen Fletcher, Albert Allen, Cassie Allen Lowe, and Joe Allen.
This is all that I have. I can't even find a marriage record for Bertha & Marion.
I have a book listing all people buried at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda, FL. Does anyone know if there is a book available for Friendship Cemetery?
Any information, no matter how small, about the Allen or Crawford line may help me.
