I haven't had any luck with that site. I've looked at it before and looked at it again tonight. According to South Florida Pioneers, Issue #17/18, published July/Oct 78 - J. Ocilla Allen 1885-1963 & Carrie Allen 1892-1966 are at Hardee County: Friendship Cemetery. But every search I conduct for not only Friendship Cemetery but any other Hardee County cemeteries comes up blank. I have the obit for Ovilla Allen a resident of Zolfo Springs for many years died in Punta Gorda, all information is correct as far as living relatives mentioned, but it fails to mention where his funeral was at or where he was laid to rest. My grandmother's branch of the family tree is like a dead end. So much information is missing from it. I've requested marriage certificates, death certificates, basically anything an official might have but come up with nothing. And I cannot find any living relatives of her family to see if their parents/grandparents might have left a family bible or talked of where they came from. Upon doing yet another search today, I did find Carrie (Allen) Crawford's family census report from 1900 in Zolfo Springs Precinct 11 that did manage to give me her parent's names so I can possibly go a step further on her branch. But with Ovilla or the Allen's in general I am stuck. Thank you for trying to help though. I appreciate it. Debbie Notify Administrator about this message?
