I have hit a brick wall and am taking a new look at old documents in hopes of finding the elusive crack! In looking at my great-grandmother (Cora McDuffie Howell, b. 1874, d. 1960 Pensacola)'s funeral book, I noticed the name of Mr. and Mrs. J. H.(Henry) Francis, who would have been the grandson and his wife of Cleo Howell Francis (Mrs. Henry Francis, Crestwiew). Cleo would have been Cora's sister-in-law, and sister to her brother, Joseph J. Howell, b. 1869, d. 1932. I am trying to find information on the Howell family's origins, and was told by my Aunt in California that the Francis family had quite a bit of information on these lines, but have been unable to find them. Although Henry, Jr. may have passed away by now, does anyone know of any children he may have had that I can contact? Many thanks for this unusual request, but in seeking the "old folks" one must be inventive in our methods at times. Regards, Jane Notify Administrator about this message?
