There was a good bit more about Amanda Lucille Burke in Billy's records that I did not find at first. Just interested in knowing your relationship to the Burkes. My Wife is a Burke descendent.

84. AMANDA LUCILLE5 BURKE (CALHOUN FLORIDA4, MARK EDWARD3, JOHN THOMAS2, JOHN1 BURK) was born 1916 in Altha, Fl, and died September 09, 2001 in Panama City, FL. She married ALBERT STORY 1938. He was born July 18, 1915 in Blountstown, Fl, and died July 21, 2001 in Panama City, FL.

AMANDA LUCILLE STORY
Amanda Lucille Story, 85, of Panama City, Fla., died Sunday,
Sept. 9, 2001, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Altha, Fla.,
and was a lifetime resident of Florida. She was a member of St.
Andrews Methodist Church. Amanda was a welder at the
Wainwright Shipyard, worked in sales at J.C. Penney for many
years, and for Bay County District Schools. She was preceded in
death by her husband Albert, two months ago after being married
63 years. Mrs. Story is survived by her son, Paul Edward Story
and his wife Paula, of Hawkinsville; two grandchildren, Dodie
Eason and Amanda Lynn Story; two great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday,
Sept. 13, 10 a.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel,
100 E. 19th St., with Chaplain Floyd Wright officiating. Interment
will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held
Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice,
2589 Jenks Ave., Panama City, FL 32405.

AMANDA L. STORY
Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda L. Story, 85, of Panama City,
Fla., will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at 10 a.m. in
the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd
Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this
evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

ALBERT C. STORY
Albert C. Story, 86, of Panama City, died Saturday, July 21, 2001,
after a lengthy illness. He had been a Bay County resident for
over 50 years. He was born in Blountstown on July 18, 1915. Mr.
Story was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and
a member of the Moose Lodge. He was a machinist at
International Paper mill for approximately 30 years prior to his
retirement. Mr. Story is survived by his wife of 63 years, Amanda
Burke Story; a brother, Thomas Edward Story of Fairfax, Va.; one
son, Paul Edward Story of Hawkinsville, Ga.; two grandchildren,
Dodie Ann Eason and Amanda Lynn Story; two
great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held at Southerland Family Funeral Home of
Panama City on Monday, July 23, 2001, at 11 a.m. Visitation will
be held from 9 to 11 a.m., preceding the service. Interment will
follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

85. WILLIAM ALEXANDER5 BURKE (CALHOUN FLORIDA4, MARK EDWARD3, JOHN THOMAS2, JOHN1 BURK) died July 25, 2001 in Marianna, Fl. He married MYRTLE VIRGINA MCCORMICK, daughter of MCCORMICK and CARRIE CHASON. She died August 23, 1973.

William Alexander Burke, 75, of Malone died of natural causes Tuesday July 27,2001 in Marianna.

The service will be at 2 p.m. CDT (3 p.m. EDT) Friday at New Hope Baptist Church in Marianna,
with burial at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT (7 to 9 p.m.
EDT) today at Lord Funeral Home in Marianna (850-482-8843).

A native of Jackson County, he was a barber and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Dennis Burke of Marietta, Ga.; three daughters, Diane Grice of Malone,
Linda Dickenson of Nashville, Tenn., and Teresa Burke of Cartersville, Ga.; a sister, Amanda Story
of Panama City; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
