My great grandma was born july 1864. according to her death cert. At the familysearch site it claims she was born in Jackson Co Florida. I would like some verification of this. She lived in Holmes Co with her husband Columbus Leavins. They were married in Escambia Co Alabama. Her name is Mary Frances Elizabeth Macks. She went by Frances most of the time. Her parents were Noah Macks and Charity Poston. I believe though that she was raised by another family member possibly a Poston. They are native american and may be listed as black or mullatoe. I would like to find her before the 1900 census, in which I find her with her husband.
