I am trying to get information on the family of Henry and Nancy Rucker. They were both born in SC and moved to Lafayette County, FL about 1856. In the 1870 census Nancy and the children were in Levy County, Florida. It is spelled "Racker" on the 1870 census which I found thanks to a reply on a quiery.
Nancy Rucker was the daughter of Margaret Padgett, and daughter, or possibly stepdaughter, of James C Whittle.Nancy was born around 1813 or 1814. Apparently Henry Rucker died between 1860-1870. If anyone has any information on this family I would appreciate it.
