Hello,
I am searching for information on The first husband of Phoebe Driggers, James L. Strawn. I know they were married prior to 1858, maybe in Levy County, Florida. They had 2 or more children. I have Wm. H. Strawn and John Strawn as 2 of thier children.
James L. Strawn may have served in the First Florida Cavalry during the Civil War, but I haven't found any pension records for him.... I am unsure of the date of his death. He may have died prior to 1858, because that is the year I have Phoebe marrying William Shipp, or they could have been divorced.
Any information on James L. Strawn would be greatly appreciated.
