UPDATE: I've now found this family in the 1870 New Orleans, LA census!
Michael CARROLL b. ca. 1834 in Ireland; parents also foreign, but he's a citizen of U.S. and works in a coffee house; married to:
Cecilia BORGE? b. ca. 1836 in Florida; children are:
George (Bruce) CARROLL age 12
Emma CARROLL age 8
Walter CARROLL age 6
Mary L. CARROLL age 1 month - all the children were born in Louisiana.
Jane MACK age 15 is a domestic servant, and John Robinson age 33 is probably a boarder, both also listed in same dwelling.
