Thank all of you so much for all the input on what I was looking for. It does happen to be Jackson County. I still did not find any info on the person I was looking. That may have been because he was constantly moving between Florida and Louisiana. He'd had visited relatives in Jackson County and on the 1910 census he was living with a nephew in Jackson County. At one point he was visiting relatives in Alabama according to newspaper articles.
